A country singer-songwriter has been arrested at a hospital after he claimed he was assaulted outside his hotel on tour.

Todd Snider was arrested Sunday for allegedly causing a disturbance Sunday at a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, according to KTSU (Fox 13) . Snider cancelled his scheduled performance in Salt Lake City and the rest of his tour dates.

Snider’s team said on social media that he had been hospitalized for injuries sustained in an alleged attack.

“Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel,” a statement said Monday. “Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time.
