HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Downtown Rescue Mission is planning to serve over 24,000 hot meals by the end of November -- but they need your help to make this happen.
For many, Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends and food. For others who are homeless or struggling to find shelter and food, this is a challenging time of year.
Downtown Rescue Mission says they plan to serve 24,109 meals, including Thanksgiving Dinner, by November 27. Every meal also comes with shelter, clothing and more services.
The rescue mission's donation page offers you the opportunity to help your struggling neighbors and community members by either giving a one time amount, or by choosing to give monthly.
