COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Board of Public Works and Safety approved a measure to enhance the vacation policy for Columbus firefighters during their meeting held at Columbus City Hall on Tuesday, November 4. The approved policy change will take effect on January 1, 2026, and will add two additional vacation days to each year of service level within the current vacation framework.
