Police are investigating after a driver struck a pedestrian in Richmond Monday night.
The Richmond RCMP says it responded to reports of the collision near Gibbons Drive and Westminster Highway around 8 p.m.
The pedestrian, an 85 year-old woman, was reportedly transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Mounties say the driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, and speed and impairment are not believed to have been factors in the crash.
“Preliminary investigation indicated the pedestrian may have been crossing outside a designated crosswalk.”
