CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A man was charged with first-degree murder after a woman was found dead in Crossville.
On Monday, someone called Cumberland County 911 asking for a welfare check on Linda Spivey, 76. Lake Tansi Police went to her home on Big Horn Drive and found her dead, after which the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office secured the scene, CCSO said.
Law enforcement investigated the scene and Kenneth Spivey, 59, became a point of focus. CCSO said it believes he murdered Linda Spivey. He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 8.
