LSU's Board of Supervisors has chosen McNeese State University President Wade Rousse as the new president of the university system and James Dalton as the chancellor and vice president,
The board voted 12–1 Tuesday in favor of the pair. It's the first time since 2012 that LSU will have separate leaders for the system and the Baton Rouge campus, They replace former president William Tate IV,
Rousse, a Louisiana native, is currently president of McNeese State University in Lake Charles and was reportedly Gov. Jeff Landry’s preferred candidate. He spent much of his career in the marine transportation business before moving into higher education.
