SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — Community organization ShoutOut Saugerties is seeking to broaden town connections at a Nov. 10 community conversation with village merchants as panelists to discuss what makes the business district thrive and what could improve its commercial viability.

Organization Executive Artistic Director Suzanne Bennett discussed the planned session during a Monday, Nov. 3, Village Board meeting as part of an appeal to have trustees attend.

“This is part of the community conversations (on) balanced growth that we’ve been having now for quite a few months,” she said.

The sessions began as part of previous efforts to develop projects that could be included in applications for a state Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant.
