ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — The Rockford housing market reached its fourth all-time high, with home prices averaging over $240,000 for the first time.
The three-month rolling average price of a home in Winnebago, Boone, and Ogle counties increased to a new record high of $242,241, which is a 7.9% increase from the September 2024 average of $224,406. This is approximately $20,000 more for a home, according to the NorthWest Illinois Alliance of Realtors.
According to CEO Connor Brown, this is the fourth straight month of record-high home prices.
