FLORIDA, USA — Duke Energy says customers in Florida can expect lower bills beginning in early 2026.
The electric company announced Tuesday that the Florida Public Service Commission approved its request to lower bills starting in March, bringing an approximate $44 decrease for every when compared to February 2026.
Duke says these lowered costs are largely due to the removal of the storm cost recovery charge associated with the company's response to hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton at the end of February 2026.
