MOORHEAD — The man accused in a fatal drive-by shooting earlier this year is now facing new charges for an older allegation that Clay County prosecutors also want to use as evidence in his murder trial.
A witness to the fatal April 13 shooting identified Jerome Anthony Thomas III, 35, as the man who fired the shots that killed 39-year-old James Earl Hamilton. Responding officers found Hamilton with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to his head, in a driveway at 2701 14th St. S., court documents said.
Court documents said Thomas fled Moorhead following the shooting with his girlfriend, 33-year-old Abby Fredrickson, to Michigan, where the pair was arrested the following day.
