ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions didn’t make any deals ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline, which has now come and gone as of 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

It’s the first time since 2021 that the Lions and general manager Brad Holmes haven’t made a trade on deadline day. So, hopefully, too many fans didn’t sit around waiting for those phones to buzz.

Detroit was rumored to be kicking the tires on safeties, cornerbacks and defensive linemen in recent weeks. Dan Campbell even said the Lions had looked into potential moves for offensive linemen in the hours leading up to Tuesday’s trade deadline.

But the Lions didn’t get anything done despite going through glaring issues on the offensive line .
