ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - If you think it’s too early to get in the holiday spirit, think again.
Gwinnett County and Piedmont Park’s decorations are already going up for people to enjoy.
Early Tuesday morning, Santa Claus supervised while Gwinnett County crews unloaded this 40-foot spruce tree fresh off the truck from North Carolina.
“It is amazing seeing it come in on that big truck and when they rise it up on that big crane looking up in the air, you get kind of dizzy watching it, I feel like I’m on the sleigh, you know, going in circles,” said Santa.
When part of the tree snapped off as crews began to stand it up — a tough sight for Santa to see. The tree broke in half while crews were raising it at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse lawn.
