The company that publishes USA TODAY, the Detroit Free Press and dozens of other newspapers is rebranding itself with the name of its flagship newspaper.

Gannett Co. Inc. said Tuesday it will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange as USA TODAY Co. on Nov. 18. Gannett owns more than 200 U.S. news publications, including the Free Press, which is published under a joint operating agreement with The Detroit News.

“We are changing our name and rebranding to embrace our most notable masthead — which is committed to delivering fact-based news, unbiased coverage and essential content that meets audiences in the center," Gannett CEO Mike Reed said in a statement.
