LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - A man is in custody a month after he and a woman were shot during an attempted robbery in Clinton.
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report of a robbery and shooting incident on October 3 in the area of Coleman Road in Clinton. Once on scene, deputies found Taneal Evans dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Following a monthlong investigation, deputies determined Evans and Quinjevarious Ta'Marion Tribble were attempting to rob an individual who acted in self-defense and shot both Evans and Tribble, according to reports.
On Tuesday, the sheriff's office said Tribble was medically cleared and has been charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
