ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)---More land may be added to the Adirondack Forest Preserve, if voters decide to vote in favor of Proposition One.
"It’s the only statewide ballot proposition this year, and it would essentially allow for a winter sports complex around Lake Placid to be developed. So, they would be developing just over 300 acres of land into ski and biathlon trails," explained Erica Smitka, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters.
The ballot measure would bring construction that has already occurred at Mount Van Hoevenberg, an Olympic site, into compliance with the New York State Constitution.
