GREEN BAY — Brian Gutekunst has always vowed to look into every opportunity to improve his roster, and surely the Green Bay Packers general manager did so again in advance of Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline.
But when the clock struck 3 p.m. Wisconsin time, the Packers had once again eschewed adding a player to their roster — just as they have at every trade deadline since Gutekunst took over as GM in 2018.
So, on a day when the New York Jets had a fire sale and a few other NFC teams made headline-grabbing moves in addition to the trades made in the days leading up to the deadline, the Packers kept their existing roster intact, neither adding nor subtracting.
