A 'truly meaningful' memorial is set to be unveiled for Tom Ellis at the club in Nuneaton that he loved. The 25-year-old was stabbed in Queens Road on June 8 last year and his teenage killer was jailed for 13 years and three months after the youth earlier pleaded guilty to murder.

Passionate about all sports, the former Higham Lane pupil was a much-loved member of the Nuneaton Squash Club and they set up a a squash handicap tournament. The first ever event was held last year and there will be another - and there will be a special element to it.
