Upstairs at The Queen Baton Rouge, an unsuspecting holiday pop-up bar serves seasonal cocktails, sugar cookies and holiday joy.

This is the first time the local casino has hosted a holiday pop-up bar, and the lounge's serene views of the Mississippi River make the spot feel special. The pop-up is open 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 4 p.m. to close Saturdays from Nov. 8 through Christmas Day.

"We wanted to showcase this spot because a lot of the bars in the area do something big for Christmas," said food and beverage director Brad Johnson while wearing festive Christmas tree glasses. "So, we wanted to showcase The Loft and how beautiful it is. It's got a great view."
