NORRISTOWN — A Delaware woman was sent to jail on drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 476 in Towamencin Township.
Sherena Cooper, 41, of the 700 block North Pine Street, Wilmington, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 7-to-23-months in the county jail after she pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in connection with a June 2024 incident.
Judge Risa Vetri Ferman said Cooper will be eligible for the jail’s work release program. That means Cooper could be released from the jail once jail officials verify her employment. Under the jail’s current guidelines, work release also is treated as house arrest.
