A Palmerton woman was sentenced to state prison Wednesday for participating in a plot that led to her husband’s murder following his affair, according to a news release and court records.

Brenda Rodriguez, 52, of Palmerton, was sentenced Wednesday to 2½ to 10 years in state prison, according to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney. Rodriguez previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

She admitted she called Liz Marie Pacheco to relay her husband’s location to Christian Martinez-Ramos , the man who murdered him, the news release and court records say.

Martinez-Ramos admitted he fatally shot 46-year-old Hector Garcia Gomez on Dec. 7, in the parking lot of Loco Hot Deals at 1155 MacArthur Road. Garcia Gomez was shot several times in the
