REDMOND, Wash. — The Redmond Police Department suspended the use of their Flock camera system entirely following a Redmond City Council recommendation on Nov. 3.

The suspension follows "community concern" of the automated license plate readers (ALPRs), the police department said in a statement.

"This pause is not due to any misuse by [the Redmond Police Department], but reflects community concern about similar tech elsewhere. [The police department] remains committed to transparent, well-governed technology that enhances safety and trust. Learn more and share feedback," the department said in a statement.
