It's too early to tell for one of Green Bay's largest food pantries to feel the impact of the delay in FoodShare payments this month.
It has been almost a week since FoodShare benefits were delayed for Wisconsinites. The Trump administration on Nov. 3 said it would partially fund SNAP but it's unclear when families would get those benefits. While more Green Bay area businesses have started collecting donations and setting up food drives for families, Paul's Pantry said it's hard to say if it is getting the impact of the changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program yet.
"While we know we're seeing a continuing rise, it's hard to quantify exactly how much is related to this and how much is related to that," said Bob Hornacek, assistant executive director of Paul's Pantry.
