From an SEC Nation special with Marty Smith to a sit-down with Kelly Clarkson, Kent Broussard has been sharing his story of being a 66-year-old LSU band member far and wide.
Broussard, the oldest member of the Golden Band from Tigerland, has played the sousaphone for nine games now, and his popularity has exploded across campus and the country. He is stopped on campus often, asked to pose for pictures and take selfies with undergrad students.
Game days usually come with even more picture requests. Broussard has made inter-generational friendships with band members and even his classmates.
"I'll always take a picture with a student," Broussard said, "because I am one."
