NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB) - A person is recovering at the Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit after being pulled from a burning car in Norwalk.

The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a car fire inside the garage of a three-story multi-family home on Fairfield Avenue this morning.

While firefighters were fighting the fire, a person who has not been identified was found inside the car.

“Because of limited space, a wall had to be breached to be able to open the car and remove the victim,” the fire department said.

The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital before being sent to Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit. The fire department did not provide how seriously the victim was injured. No other injuries were reported.
