TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Tuscaloosa County school board members wrapped up interviews for five finalists for in the search for a new superintendent after former superintendent Dr. Keri Johnson left for a job in Pelham .

The public was allowed to attend interviews wrapped up Wednesday.

Right now, there is no timeline to make a hire. We do know there are five candidates. Of the five, only one is from out of state.

Dr. Lundy Brantley of Neshoba County, Mississippi, was front and center in front of the Tuscaloosa County school board.

For well over an hour, Dr. Brantley answered questions from all 7 board members, ranging from transparency to his thoughts on dual enrollment.

Interim superintendent Dan Butler has one piece of advice to whoever gets the job.
