OAKLAND – A person was possibly hit by a BART train Wednesday night in Oakland, officials said.

The incident happened at the 12th Street Oakland City Center Station, according to BART spokesperson Chris Filippi.
“We have an initial report that a person entered the trackway and may have come into contact with a train,” Flippi said in a recorded message.
As of 6 p.m., trains running in the Antioch and Richmond directions were not making stops at the station, according to Filippi. Trains running in the southbound directions are making stops.
