A plan for a huge new Coventry dual student accommodation has been dubbed 'excessive and unjustified'. CoventryLive previously reported the proposal for a Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) of up to 400 bed spaces to be built on land close to the University of Warwick's core campus, to the south of Westwood Heath Road.
But locals say that the PBSA is an 'excessive and unjustified building'. They say that the city council needs to put the brakes not only on the university plan but other proposals to repurpose student accommodation into PBSA.
There have been a flurry of applications over the past few months to change the use of some of city's existing student accommodation into PSBAs. This is due to a well documented drop in the number of students needing to live in the city.
