JACKSON — A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured a 19-year-old man during an attempted robbery in Jackson, authorities said.
According to the Jackson Police Department, detectives responded Monday to the 5100 block of Brookview Drive, where they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The suspect, identified as Morgan Jamone Brown, was not at the scene when officers arrived. Detectives obtained search and arrest warrants for Brown, who turned himself in Tuesday at Jackson Police Department headquarters.
Brown was booked into city holding on a charge of aggravated assault and appeared Wednesday morning in Jackson Municipal Court.
