Experts have identified three early warning signs of dementia that may emerge during conversations with loved ones. These symptoms of the condition can become noticeable whilst talking.
Dementia is a syndrome, or a group of symptoms, associated with gradual brain deterioration. It predominantly impacts individuals over 65, with close to one million people throughout the UK thought to be affected by the condition.
Whilst most people associate memory loss as a primary sign of dementia , there are further warning indicators that can surface in day-to-day interactions which mustn't be overlooked. The Alzheimer's Association emphasises that particular symptoms might become evident when speaking with someone who has dementia.
