Scarce pressings, long-deleted titles, band -made releases and sealed copies are turning a box in the loft into a small payday. Collector demand and short original runs of some CDs are pushing prices sky high. ‌

Experts at Playcasino say that those who can prove condition and history are getting maximum money for their rare discs. For many of us of a certain age, it can be strange to learn that CDs feel 'vintage'. ‌

But it's because many were tied to a place and a time. Some came in longboxes, some had misprints and some were sold only at shows or in one country.
