Peloton is recalling nearly 1 million of its exercise bikes after discovering that the product could break while being used.
This recall involves the Peloton Original Series Bike+ units, with model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with the letter “T,” the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (USDA) said . The bike measures 4 feet by 2 feet and has an adjustable seat and handlebar.
Peloton said it has received three reports of the seat post breaking and detaching from the bike during use and two additional reports of people injuring themselves after falling.
These bikes were sold through Peloton, Dick’s Sporting Goods , eBay and Amazon stores nationwide from January 2020 through April of this year for around $2,495, the USDA reported. In total, 833,000 bikes are invo
