A Red Bank man is charged with theft after deputies say he stole a donation jar that was meant to help with funeral expenses.

The arrest report said on October 5, 46-year-old Jeremy Neil Bulfin walked into the Circle K across the street from his home on Ashland Terrace just before 4:30pm and asked to buy tobacco products.

As the clerk turned around, Bulfin is seen camera taking a donation jar that was sitting near the cash register and hiding it under his clothes before leaving the store.

Deputies were called to the scene and learned the jar, which had $200-$300 inside of it, had been placed on the counter by the store manager to help an employee with his mother's funeral expenses.
