Plans by Donald Trump’s administration to slash air traffic at some of America’s busiest airports are expected to cause chaos across US skies while spelling growing trouble for the US President and his party, experts have said.
Aviation representatives cited concerns that the US Government shutdown , now into its second month, would plunge the industry into “chaos” as the regulator prepares to cut air traffic, which could see hundreds if not thousands of flights being cancelled.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will today announce the 40 “high-volume markets” where it is reducing air traffic by 10 per cent before the cuts go into effect on Friday. New Feature
