New parking rules to be introduced across City of Canning including Willetton Basketball Stadium

New parking rules are about to be rolled out across the City of Canning.

The council unanimously voted at its October 28 meeting to amend parking plans for nine locations and introduce plans for five other areas, including the Willetton Basketball Stadium and George Street West in Cannington.

Areas with modified parking rules include the Willetton Library and the Santa Clara School, Lynwood Senior High School, Parkwood Primary School and Gibbs Street Primary School precincts.

The new rules are expected to improve safety and accessibility.

They include new bus, no stopping and no parking zones, a four-hour parking limit near Bentley Hospital, and the enforcement of existing parking signage at the Willetton Basketball Stadium.
