The Spartans have taken their 6′6″, 300+ lb left tackle Brysten Martinez, who’s committed to LSU, and shifted him to tight end. However, the 2026 four-star recruit doesn’t just block and help in pass protection, he does it all.
Martinez has taken direct snaps, caught passes, and even thrown a few passes. Martinez’s versatility on full display in EA’s thrilling 49-48 win at St. Amant a few weeks back when he ran for a two-point conversion, caught a handful of passes, opened up running lanes, and threw a long touchdown pass as well.
