Queensland, Nov 6 (UNI) India stormed to a 48-run victory over Australia in the fourth T20I at Carrara Oval on Thursday, leading the series 2-1 and asserting dominance in their tour Down Under.
Batting first, India posted 167 for 8 in their 20 overs. Shubman Gill led the charge with 46 off 39 balls, while Abhishek Sharma contributed 28.
Shivam Dube added 22 runs and Suryakumar Yadav 20, providing crucial momentum in the middle overs. Axar Patel and Washington Sundar’s late hitting, including Axar’s towering sixes off Marcus Stoinis in the 19th over, lifted India to a competitive total.
Gill found the boundary repeatedly with elegant drives and powerful pulls, including a massive six off Stoinis in the 13th over.
