BELLE PLAINE, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa State Capital Bureau) - Zack Lahn, a businessman and farmer from Belle Plaine, launched his campaign for governor on Monday. He joined four other Republicans who have already entered the race.

Lahn’s campaign website said his focus is “Iowa First.”

An introductory message on the website stated, “I believe Donald J. Trump fought for America while the establishment fought him, and I believe Iowa deserves that same courage in its Governor — someone who won’t bow, won’t bend, and won’t run."

Lahn said that he is a sixth generation farmer and will work for priorities that benefit family farmers.

“I believe the soil beneath our feet is not a commodity for hedge funds or foreign governments. It is inheritance,” his campaign website stated.
