Dhaka, Nov 6 (IANS) Dengue outbreak in Bangladesh is worsening rapidly, with infections and deaths rising sharply across the country.
As many as five people have died due to dengue in 24 hours till Thursday morning, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh in 2025 to 307, local media reported.
Three new fatalities were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and one each in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Mymensingh Division, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, 1,034 more people were admitted to hospital with viral fever, increasing the total number of cases in 2025 to 76,026, United News of Bangladesh reported.
