The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an officer's actions in connection with a deadly hit-and-run last week in Algiers.
The officer is being vetted for possible violations of department policies and procedures, officials said. The investigation is being handled by the NOPD's Public Integrity Bureau.
The hit-and-run occurred on Oct. 28 in the Behrman area at the intersection of General Meyers Avenue and Flanders Street, police said.
No other information about the hit-and-run or the investigation was immediately available.
