Police have released two suspects on after gold bullion was discovered in the front of a BMW at Manchester Airport .

The seven ingots, left in a black toiletry bag, were part of a £2m haul recovered by officers and .had been embossed with the words 'Suisse 1 kilo'.

It is estimated they are worth £700,000, making it the biggest gold seizure in the history of Greater Manchester Police .

Two men who were arrested on suspicion of money laundering in connection with the find have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
