CORALVILLE — In what felt inevitable, Waukee Northwest capped off an incredible Iowa high school volleyball season with a Class 5A state title by defeating Ankeny Centennial on Nov. 6.
The Wolves won 3-0 (25-10, 25-21, 25-18) to claim the crown. Leading the way were juniors Logan Vogt with 14 kills and Piper Ladwig with 12. Senior Avery Vogt had 36 of the Wolves' 40 assists, helping spark a convincing win in Xtream Arena.
"It's really rewarding, we've been practicing for this since last year," Avery Vogt said. "To get done what we've been working for, it's really rewarding."
