It looks like the annual Veterans Day Parade is going to be impacted by the government shutdown as the popular opening of the event that has happened over the past few years appears to be grounded.
Due to the government shutdown it looks like skydivers from Skydive Elsinore won't be participating before the parade as they have done in the past few years.
When asked if Skydive Elsinore will open the proceedings before the parade begins, Deputy City Manager Donnie Moore said, “Good question. Due to the government shutdown which affects FAA clearance at this time the skydivers will not be opening the parade. They are willing and waiting on clearance so if things change then they will.”
