The Los Angeles Dodgers pulled off history this year, and they're already itching for more.
After taking down the Toronto Blue Jays to win this year's riveting World Series in seven games, the Dodgers are Major League Baseball's first repeat champions since the 2000 New York Yankees. But those Yankees won three in a row, so the Dodgers already have a new mark to strive for. Manager Dave Roberts wasted no time declaring those intentions at the World Series parade on Monday.
“He (former Los Angeles Lakers coach Pat Riley) gave me the OK to use this phrase,” Roberts said, per Dan Martin of the New York Post. “Pat Riley, what’s better than two? Three! Three-peat!”
