The Patriots are currently riding a six-game winning streak, and while most things are going smoothly for New England, quarterback Drake Maye has been taking quite a beating.
The Atlanta Falcons and the Cleveland Browns sacked Maye six times in each of the last two games. However, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels isn’t worried about pass protection.
“I think generally speaking our pass protection has been pretty sound,” McDaniels said on Thursday, via Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.
Maye appeared to agree with McDaniels, suggesting that the pass protection is performing well because the young quarterback took most of the blame for being sacked.
