Remembrance Sunday will take place on Sunday, November 9. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Cambridge will represent Cambridge at events to mark the occasion this year.
The Mayor of Cambridge, Cllr Dinah Pounds, will meet and greet veterans and military personnel prior to a parade to the war memorial on Hills Road, on Remembrance Sunday shortly before 11am. Mayor Pounds will then take part in a commemorative service at the memorial where wreaths will be laid.
Other local people who will be present are the Deputy Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire Mr James Hutt, Daniel Zeichner MP, Cambridge City Council Leader Cllr Cameron Holloway, Cambridgeshire County Council Chair Cllr Peter McDonald, and the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University Prof. Laurie Butler.
