How one artist’s brain hemorrhage turned into a lifelong passion

It’s been more than 20 years since Scottsdale resident Cheryl Senkfor became paralyzed after suffering a sudden cerebral hemorrhage.

At the age of 44, Senkfor experienced what she refers to as a “brain bleed” in the occipital lobe of her brain, leaving her immobilized and uncertain about her future.

Eight days lying in her hospital bed, Senkfor had a few visitors.

“Three angels came to me and told me that I will survive,” she recalled. “They told me I would touch as many people as possible through my creativity.”
