The Woltosz Football Performance Center has looked quite different since former Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze was fired following last Saturday’s loss to Kentucky.
With defensive coordinator DJ Durkin taking over the reins as the interim head coach, he talked about the team’s response to this week’s transition as they prepare to face Vanderbilt this weekend.
“They’ve been great. We’ve had really good practices this week. You can imagine with a million distractions going on. That’s been our challenge to them is to just say, ‘Hey man, block out the distractions, lock in on what we’re doing to prepare for what is a really good opponent at their place.
