JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Transportation Authority says it hosted a panel of Japanese transportation delegates this week, discussing various projects that highlight autonomous vehicle mobility.

JTA says 13 professionals from the Highway Industry Development Organization flew into the First Coast on Monday, Oct. 27, to discuss programs such as the Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C) and the Neighborhood Autonomous Vehicle Innovation (NAVI) program.

“It was an honor to welcome the Japanese transportation delegation to Jacksonville and show them what the JTA is doing with autonomous vehicle technology, and the impact it will have on our city, on our economy, and in the lives of Jacksonville residents and tourists,” stated JTA CEO Nat Ford.
