Mona May, costume designer behind ‘Clueless,’ to celebrate film’s 30th anniversary in Amherst

AMHERST — Mona May, a fashion icon to any teenager who watched “Clueless” in 1995, will celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary on Monday at the Amherst Cinema.

May will lead a seminar, “The Art of Costume Design for Film & TV,” at the 28 Amity St. cinema at 7 p.m. Her talk will be immediately followed by a screening of “Clueless” at 8 p.m.
