GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Historians are highlighting South Carolina’s role in the American Revolution by bringing the information straight to people’s fingertips through a new digital platform.

Artist Dale Watson has been commissioned by the South Carolina Battleground Preservation Trust and the American Battlefield Trust to recreate scenes from the Revolutionary War for the Liberty Trail app.

“They had come up with an idea to do an app called the Liberty Trail app. And we took off from there so, and it’s been fun,” Watson said.

The Liberty Trail app is designed to help people learn more about South Carolina’s role in the Revolution, including the battles, the bravery, the people and the places.
